Marketing for independent businesses & mission-driven organizations
Be discovered by the right customers, get them to return, and become a special place they'll visit again and again.
hi, I'm Steven
over a decade building loyalty for brands people already love
From scrappy startups to century-old stages to Fortune 100 names — I've run marketing across all of them. What earns loyalty doesn't change.
You run a shop, a studio, a small venue, or a cause you believe in. People love it once they walk in — the hard part is getting more of them through the door. That's the part I love. I work with independent businesses and mission-driven organizations, including community-rooted ones. No franchises, no big boxes, no chains.
Everyone's starting from a different place. We begin where it'll help you most, and add the rest when the time feels right. Three stages:
STAGE 01
Getting found by the people already looking for you.
from $1,500 / one-time setup
STAGE 02
Turning a first visit into a second, and a third.
from $1,200 / one-time setup
STAGE 03
Turning your regulars into the ones who rave about you.
from $900 / month, ongoing
I spent my twenties on stage — a performer and teacher with a drama degree — and it taught me the thing that still guides my work: an audience will tell you what it wants, if you're paying attention. You can say the same lines every night and the room answers differently each time. So you learn to listen, and to adjust.
I brought that instinct into marketing, and spent over a decade earning loyalty for some of the biggest names in entertainment and retail — the segmentation, the email programs, the brand partnerships, and the first digital campaigns a scrappy team ever turned a profit on.
Now I bring that craft to the small, independent places that make a street, a neighborhood, a community feel like home.
A few of the people I've learned from, led, and built alongside over the years.
His marketing strategy expertise guided the team to think high-level, from a revenue and branding perspective. Retail is ever-changing, and Steven's adaptability continually drove positive results. He's an empathic, kind human — I'd jump at the chance to work together again.

No retainers, no surprises, no jargon — just four simple steps.
1
We sit down and talk through your business, your customers, and what's been feeling stuck.
2
Discovered, remembered, or beloved — whichever will do the most good for you right now.
3
I set the whole thing up and hand it over, so it keeps working without you having to babysit it.

A seasonal push, a win-back, a newsletter refresh — add those whenever you need them.
Three easy ways to begin — pick what fits, and step up to a full stage whenever you're ready. You only ever pay for what moves you forward.

Dear friend,
The brands people love aren't the ones with the biggest budgets. They're the ones that make you feel remembered. That's never been a secret kept by the giants — it's a handful of tools, and they work just as well for a corner shop as for a castle. I'd love to put them in your hands.
Steven
